UPSC has declared the result of written part of the Civil Services (Main) Examination.
Results 
Results of the Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2008- 2009 have been announced just now.
A total number of 791 candidates have been recommended for appointment including 364 General (including 13 Physically Challenged candidates), 236 Other Backward Classes (including 07 Physically Challenged candidates), 130 Scheduled Castes and 61 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
UPSC has a Facilitation Counter near Examination Hall in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments during working hours in person or over Telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543. Result is available on PIB website i.e www.pib.nic.in and also on the U.P.S.C. website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in

Total No Of candidates appeared for the Preliminary examination : 1,67,035
Total No Of candidates qualified for the Main written examination : 11,849
Total No Of candidates selected for the Personality Test : 2140
